Modulation
All Wood pellet fuelled biomass boilers supplied by Green Energy Engineering have the ability to modulate. Modulation describes the process by which the required output of the biomass boiler is monitored and its operation adjusted to suit the demand on the boiler. For example when a wood pellet fuelled biomass boiler is warming up the fuel feed and air flow will be maximised to give maximum heat up ability without sending too much heat up the flue. Once the required temperature is reached in the biomass boiler the fuel feed and air flow is reduced to maintain the desired temperature. This is the main efficiency benefit that wood pellet biomass boilers have over oil or gas fired boilers.
